Frequently Asked Questions (Drivers)

Have questions about joining or driving with Ads In Motion? You’re in the right place. This page covers everything drivers need to know — from registration and payments to advertisement installation and vehicle requirements. Whether you’re just getting started or already part of our network, these answers will help you stay informed and confident every step of the way.
I registered my vehicle on your website. What happens next?

After registering, your account will show as “Verification Pending.” We’ll contact you by email or phone to schedule a quick meeting, confirm your documents, and sign a contract with you as an independent owner-operator. Once approved, your profile becomes Active, and you can start receiving ad opportunities. More details at Onboarding Process Page (Driver)

How long does the verification process take after registration?

The verification is usually completed within a few business days. Once we confirm your driver’s license, vehicle ownership, and details, we’ll activate your profile and you’ll be ready to start receiving advertising opportunities.

How will I know when an advertisement opportunity is available?

You’ll receive a notification by email, SMS, or phone call with instructions. This will include the approved print shop location and scheduling details. In some cases, the print shop staff may even come to your location.

What happens if I accept an advertisement opportunity but don’t show up at the print shop?
If you miss your appointment without notice, the opportunity will be passed to another driver. Don’t worry — you’ll still be considered for future campaigns, but please let us know in advance if you can’t make it so we can reschedule.
How do I report my mileage, and why is it important?
You’ll need to submit your mileage once a week using our online form. This helps confirm that your advertisement is being seen by the public. If mileage isn’t reported, we can’t confirm exposure for clients, which may affect your payments.
Will I get paid right after I report my mileage?
Yes! Payments are processed after each mileage update. You can choose your preferred method, such as direct deposit, PayPal, or e-transfer.
Do all drivers need to use GPS tracking?
Not always. Some advertisers require GPS tracking to better understand where their ads get the most views. If this applies to your campaign, we’ll provide you with a GPS tracker at no cost.
How long does an advertising campaign usually last?
Most campaigns run between 1–3 months, but some may last longer. Sometimes ads are updated with small changes — like seasonal promotions or new contact details—without fully replacing the design.
What if I registered and already have an ad, but I permanently stop driving (retirement, selling the truck, serious illness, or if the vehicle is damaged or stolen)?
Please let us know right away by email, phone, or the contact form. We’ll remove your registration or mark you as inactive. If your situation changes later, you can always re-join.
What if I only need a short break (3–5 business days) for illness, maintenance, or repairs?

If you’ve been asked to apply a new ad, check if your print shop appointment falls during your break. If so, let us know and we’ll try to reschedule or reassign.

If an ad is already on your vehicle, just take your break and continue reporting mileage at the end of the week as usual.

What if I move to another city or province?

Notify us as soon as possible. If we have clients in your new area, you may still be able to continue earning with us.

What if I sell my truck or van while an advertisement is applied?

Let us know right away. We’ll contact the new owner to see if they want to stay in our network. If they agree, the account can be transferred, and they’ll receive a welcome bonus once ownership is verified and the ad remains in place.

What if my advertisement is damaged (accident or vandalism)?

Contact us immediately. We’ll arrange a print shop visit to repair or replace the damaged ad. You can resume participation once the ad is restored.

How much do I get paid for driving with ads?
On average, drivers earn $25–$75 weekly for driving about 100–150 kilometers per day. Exact rates depend on the campaign and will be detailed in your contract. If you report 0 (zero) kilometers, you’ll still receive a small minimum payment. If you don’t submit mileage, payments are paused until reports are received.
Do I need to pay taxes on the money I earn?
Yes. You’ll be paid the full amount with no deductions, and like all residents, you must report this income when you file taxes.
My truck has graffiti on it. Do I need to remove it before applying ads?
No. Our posters are designed to fully cover the surface, even if there’s graffiti.
What material is used for the posters? Will it damage my truck’s paint?
We use high-quality vinyl film that’s safe to apply and remove. It won’t damage the paint or cargo box surface — in fact, it helps protect it.
Can I contact the company whose ad is on my truck and ask them for payment directly?

No. We have separate agreements with drivers and advertisers. Direct contact would break the contract. All payments are handled by Advertisement in Motion.

What if I don’t like the design or message of the ad?

No problem. Just let us know and you can skip that campaign. We’ll offer it to another driver.

My truck or cargo box isn’t white. Is that a problem?

Not at all. We accept all colors, makes, and models. Our design team simply adjusts the ad design to match your vehicle’s color.

Can I quit the program and remove the ad myself?
Yes, you can leave the network anytime (though we’ll be sorry to see you go). We recommend waiting until the campaign ends and letting our certified print shop remove the ad, as we cannot be responsible for damage caused by self-removal.
